Word of Grace Church | About Us

Mission Statement

We at Word of Grace church love living a spirit lead life that manifests itself in an outrageous love for God, myself, my family, my church, and the lost.

Our Pastor

Pastor Chet Marshall had served as the assistant pastor of Word of Grace Church for 13 years and accepted the position of senior pastor in July of 2007. Pastor Marshall       was instrumental in the founding and building of our church and has a true gift for discpleship. He and his wife Diana have been married for over 25 years and have two daughters and three grandchildren.

He has a strong burden for missions and desires to send out missionaries from our   church as well as find those currently on the mission field who are in need of support.
His vision is also to create a network with other evangelical churches, both in The Pioneer Valley and around the world in order to present a united front against the enemy's  designs to discredit the Church of Jesus Christ.

Assistant Pastor

Pastor Steve Ryan has served as an associate pastor of Word of Grace Church for 10 years and accepted the position of assistant pastor in 2008, co-laboring with Pastor Chet Marshall.

Pastor Steve is also a founding member of Word of Grace Church and has served as the Educational Director of the Bible Institute and Sunday School ministry.

He and his wife Marie have been married for over 33 years and have been blessed with 3 sons, and daughter and 3 grandchildren. Pastor Steve has a love for teaching the Word of God to children and adults alike and desires to see the church grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort alone.

About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.

About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
